As part of my academic and professional journey, I’ve had the opportunity to write on a range of topics related to entomology and pest management. I authored a micro-literature review focused on the integrated pest management strategies used to control Spotted Wing Drosophila, a significant pest in fruit production.
I authored a general-audience blog post summarizing a research study on Diaphorina citri, the insect vector responsible for transmitting Huanglongbing (HLB) or citrus greening disease, a devastating bacterial disease of citrus orchards.
I also created an Extension factsheet about about ash flower gall mites, an aesthetic pest of male ash trees, where I explored the pest’s biology, effects, and management options. These works demonstrate my ability to communicate complex scientific research to various audiences in clear and engaging ways.
