I have also had the opportunity to create design pieces that support science communication. At the Southern Integrated Pest Management Center, I created an infographic titled “IPM is Everywhere,” which summarizes the many areas where integrated pest management is practiced, including cases where it may not be formally identified as IPM. In addition, I designed a creative infographic poster created to accompany my micro-literature review on Spotted Wing Drosophila management strategies. I presented my infographic at the 11th International IPM Symposium in San Diego, CA, and received first place in my category. Both pieces demonstrate my experience in designing clear, engaging visuals to communicate research and outreach messages.
